Alex & Courtney's Whonnock Lake Wedding

I’ve always believed the best moments happen when you say yes to adventure. When you let go of perfection, embrace the wind in your veil, and trust that magic will unfold naturally—that’s where the real stories live.

Alex and Courtney’s Whonnock Lake wedding was the perfect reminder of that. From hiking in heels to balancing on mossy rocks, to hopping into a borrowed boat (with a little help from the bride’s mom, who literally paddled us out for those dreamy lake shots!)—their day was equal parts romance and pure, joyful chaos.

There were the little moments that made it unforgettable: the laughter when they realized the wedding rings had “gone missing” mid-ceremony… only to discover they’d been tucked safely in her purse the entire time. The handmade crochet details lovingly crafted by grandma. The delicious cupcakes baked by the family that tasted like home. And of course, the endless smiles and giggles that carried through the reception.

It was a day filled with love, laughter, and muddy shoes—the kind of day that reminds me why I love photographing wild hearts and adventurous souls. When you let go, love always shows up in the most beautiful way.

If you’re the kind of couple who’d hike in heels, jump into a borrowed boat, or chase sunsets just for the shot—I’m your girl. Let’s capture your story, wild hearts and all.
